How long have you been skateboarding? 

“I’ve been skating for about 12 years now.”

Why is education important to you? 

“Education is important to me because it gives me knowledge of the world around me. This knowledge helps me become a better and wiser individual. ”

How is the skate scene on your campus? How many students skate? 

“The skateboarding scene at UMD is amazing! We’re all about inclusivity and having fun while, motivating each other to keep on getting better. Right now there are about a little more than 20 of us that skate, but I’m always meeting new skaters on campus or at our local skatepark here in College Park.”

Favorite trick right now? 

“My favorite trick are backside tail slides.”

Favorite thing about skateboarding? 

“My favorite thing about skating is it’s helped me meet and become friends with lots of amazing dudes! I’ve not only made friends with some cool skaters around my area here in Maryland, but many others from other cities and countries like London, Grenoble, Hanoi, and Rabat! That’s what’s so great about skateboarding, we build bridges with others who share our passion.”
